Custom plaques are decorative panels made from materials such as acrylic or wood and customised with text, dates, photos or cliparts. We use the most modern technology such as UV printing, laser cutting, or engraving, depending on the material and design, so that all your design can be displayed sharply. Depending on your taste,  our plaque can stand freely on a surface with a fitted stand or be displayed on a wall.

What Types of Personalised Plaques Can I Choose at Custom Chic?

We have two personalised plaque types across acrylic and wooden materials so that you can find something that truly fits your decor. 

Acrylic Personalised Plaques

Custom Chic’s custom acrylic plaques are produced from transparent acrylic with a substantial thickness of approximately 0.6 inches. At approximately 215 g, the acrylic plaque has enough weight for stable display while remaining convenient to reposition around the home. Each plaque is shaped through laser cutting, which produces clean edges and consistent dimensions. The transparent body contributes depth to the finished piece and draws attention to the printed design. For this reason, an acrylic personalised photo plaque fits especially well in contemporary bedrooms, offices and living spaces.

For the clearest result, upload a sharp, well-lit image in its original resolution. Screenshots, blurred photographs and heavily compressed files may reduce the definition of faces and smaller details once printed.

Wooden Personalised Plaques

Custom Chic’s wooden plaques consist of a flat laser-cut panel positioned inside a separate wooden display stand. Despite its larger available dimensions, the wooden plaque weighs approximately 78 g. Its relatively light construction makes it easy to reposition. As with the acrylic version, the wooden panel is produced using laser cutting and personalised through UV printing. The print is applied directly to the front surface, supporting coloured illustrations, photographs, names and decorative backgrounds. 

Should You Choose an Acrylic or Wooden Personalised Plaque?

Choose an acrylic plaque if you prefer a polished, contemporary piece with a transparent body and compact, self-supporting construction. Its smooth surface and solid 0.6-inch thickness suit photo-led designs, vivid colours and detailed illustrations.

Choose a wooden plaque if you prefer a warmer decorative style, a separate display stand or a larger format. With sizes reaching 11.8 inches, it is particularly suitable for family designs, longer messages and displays intended to attract attention within a room.

What Techniques Does Custom Chic Use to Personalise Plaques?

We use UV printing and engraving to create personalised plaques. UV printing applies colour and detail directly onto the surface, allowing photographs, multi-colour text and intricate designs to be reproduced with sharp definition.

Engraving cuts personalised wording or dates directly into the material, creating a tactile, permanent finish that does not rely on surface colour. The technique used depends on the plaque design and the type of personalisation selected, such as a printed photo or an engraved name.

Product Care That Protects Both the Plaque and Its Personalised Design

Custom Chic’s acrylic plaques should be wiped with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Abrasive materials can scratch the surface or affect the printed design, so gentle cleaning is recommended. Our wooden plaques should be cleaned with a dry cloth and kept away from prolonged direct moisture to protect the natural finish.

For both plaque materials, harsh chemical cleaners should be avoided because they may affect UV-printed colours or engraved surfaces. Our personalised plaques should also be kept away from prolonged direct sunlight to reduce potential fading over time.
